Christmas Spirit is in the air! If only we could get some snow...

Our annual Christmas Tree hunt was fun but unfortunately the sledding part has been postponed until another weekend since there is STILL no snow. :-( We were hoping to take Ian sledding as well as snow boarding this winter but the weather is not cooperating.

Anyway, we still got the tree and it is decorat
ed and ready for Santa's visit.

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend to all!

I haven't posted many pictures lately as I finally just found my USB cable to attach to my camera. I guess things like that happen during a move.

Speaking of moving. We are finally all into our new home. We are surrounded by chaos and boxes now but within the next few weeks we should get things organized, hopefully. It is amazing what new little treasures you find that were all but forgotten. Now is the time to sort between the keep, sell, donate and trash piles.

Our boys continue to grow amongst the chaos and they keep me humble, especially Ian. ;-) They also make all ok with just a simple smile or laugh. Well here they are...

We have moved in! We spent our first Holiday in the new house...Halloween. Ian and daddy carved a jack-o-lantern and I got my new bedroom and bathroom. We are settling in slowly but surely. Hopefully by the holidays we will be feeling more at home and most of the trim work (at least upstairs) will be done and the doors will be hung! Thank you Robert! He has been amazing getting this house done and beautiful. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful husband and daddy. :-D

Halloween 2008...Ian was a T-Rex and Owen and mommy were pirates. Of course Rob wouldn't join in the festivities.

Ian had his first taste of Cotton Candy too. A strange food for the first time from the look on his face when he took his first bite.

And another day in the saga of the Schmitt's...

Tomorrow I go back to work, well officially anyways. I have been back for a few days already seeing people but tomorrow and Thursday, Owen and I will be in there running things all day. I spent today home with the boys for the whole day except to run Ian for swimming lessons this afternoon. Both boys are tired now and I am cooking dinner, waiting for Rob to get home from work and hopefully we can sit and watch a movie before bed. I must say that going to work and being a professional is not nearly as tiring as staying at home all day with two young ones!

Last Thursday we took a family day to the Pacific Science Center in Seattle and took Ian to his first 3D Imax film. It was so great to see him discover 3D films and I am so happy that Rob got to spend the day with us...with all the building, new baby, work, etc. we don't get much time together doing fun stuff as a family. I think Ian was pretty happy to have daddy for the day too.

A couple more house pictures...the garage is painted so this is how the front of the house will look when it is "done". We may still paint the garage door but that will be a summer '09 project if we do. The hardwood floors are all in and now we are working on the trim. We also have some furniture in the house so it is much more "homey".

And a picture of Owen after his first bath in the big tub. He is growing like crazy and already fitting some 3-6 month size clothing! He is a precious little boy. His big brother just had swimming lessons and loves riding his bike. He is a little pro on that bike now, even going over little jumps. We will have to figure out how to add videos to this thing so I can show you the little dare devil in action. ;-)

Some Family Pictures of Owen at 1
