Homeschooling Begins!

We officially began our homeschool year. Actually got in a whole hour this am in focused math and phonics/writing. It's a little intimidating but it will be a good experience for all, I think. We have a lot of fun stuff planned and more non-planned, spontaneous learning for this year. Owen is already benefiting from Ian's homeschool work. Listening to Ian count and sound out letters, Owen is repeating them and learning right along. Another benefit of homeschooling! Now just waiting for my mail order books on Egypt, reading and science. Molecules, atoms, human body and ancient ruins are on the agenda for this year. Along with the swimming, hockey, plays, museums, camping, building, cooking, etc. There is so much to learn just in daily life. And Friday's with Grandpa should be very educational also.
